About me
Life is just one big marketplace.
Although I was born in Vancouver, and lived the childhood dream of suburbia for most of my life, my itchy feet have brought me to many places in the world — the back streets of Cairo, marketplaces in the old city of Jerusalem, artists colonies in southern California, booze-filled blues joints in New Orleans and so much more. I'll never tire of finding some adventure and meeting people. I'll never forget taking a funicular from one northern Italian village to another, and the driver telling me that he's never left his little village - more than 30 kilometres, that is. But he was at peace with himself and very proud to talk about his village of 1,000 people.
I have my one and only husband who was and is my childhood sweetheart, two children who make me proud to know that I'm their mother and a very opinionated Pomeranian. My kids are a perfect blend of father and mother, and them bring with them the love of a good conversation and the search for the perfect wine, or brew.
